Do you believe the DSM should be available to the general public or should it only be in the hands of mental h?

The DSM-IV-TR (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition, Text Revision) is readily available for purchase at most major bookstores. Anyone who is willing to pay $50-70 can read about all of the psychiatric disorders (and the criteria for diagnosis) recognized by the American Psychiatric ociation. Some people have suggested this information should only be in the hands of trained professionals, not the general public. Other people have argued that the information should be readily available for anyone who wants to learn more about psychiatric disorders.
