After they leave, how long do you wear the ring?

I am going through a divorce right now. I knew for two months before he filed that he was thinking about a divorce because he told me and he left. I wore my ring during that time even though he wasn't wearing his. But it too just hurt me and reminded me he wasn't wearing his. The day he came home and told me he wanted a divorce for sure I took it off it has been sitting in my dresser drawer since. Just so you know though looking down at my hand still hurts because I know there should be a ring there but I can't make my husband be with me. I am sure in time the pain will go away. So my advice to you is take it off if you already know it is over and try to avoid looking down at your hand for quite some time.
