Different channels had different electoral votes last night,why?

It depends on where they were extracting there information from. For instance, Yahoo was way behind my local news channel because they were counting on the ociated Press to confirm numbers. But basically, it depends on where the information comes from and then confirmation of that information. No channel would want to be responsible for giving false or inaccurate information to it's viewers, especially not with an event as grand as the Presidential Election.
