Does anyone have a logical answer to this?

maybe because his heart was so strong at first that's why he didn't die but then he changed his heart (did he change it?) or he decided to be good he didn't survive. i think his heart served as his protection against the volts of electricity and the banana peel don't influence anything that happened.
