Odysseus' intellect in the odyssey?

well there is the part with the sirens, where he (if i recall correctly) tied all his men to the mast and stuck some sort of flowers in his ears so he wouldnt be drawn by the song...or some variation of that. or the part with the cyclops where he stabbed its eye out and then tied his men to the bellies of the cyclops' sheep so it couldnt feel them as it ran its hands over the sheep...really any one of his exploits show his intelligence, which he was more about than skill in battle
