What words should an 8th grader already know and have them in their vocabulary?

i am an 8th grader in the honors cl but recently we have been doing synonyms and antonyms. and there are some words that i don't know. my school isn't really great but the teacher said we should already have those words in our vocabulary. can you all please give me words i should already know and their definition. that would really help me. thanks!
