How do I get rid of leaves that reappear after snow melted?

I didn't rake my leaves before the snow fell. Now I'm embarred at my negligence because the snow has melted and I have a yard full of leaves. Leaves don't fall in March here in Michigan. What can I do to get rid of them? I'm having trouble raking them as they are wet and sticking to the ground. Is this really my only option?
